HOPAC is in partnership with the Network of International Christian Schools (NICS) and the majority of our teaching opportunities are advertised through the NICS website. Candidates complete the NICS application form and process before being interviewed by HOPAC leadership. HOPAC’s teaching needs for the 2024-25 school year are now posted on the NICS website! The PD Coordinator reports to the Director while working in close communication with the Principals. This is a full time position and will include determining needs, conducting training, and setting up programs to continue in the future. Principals are responsible for formal observations and evaluations of teachers. The Professional Development Coordinator will be a coach and mentor to teachers, but not a supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR PD COORDINATOR:
- Minimum BA in Education, Master’s degree preferred and preferably 10 years of education experience and/or supervising or coaching teachers.
- Evidence of mastery in excellent teaching techniques and the ability to inspire it in others and experience with Cambridge curriculum , or willingness to learn about and embrace it
- Experience working in a cross-cultural setting, or willingness to be teachable in this area, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills
- Committed Christian, actively living for God and pursuing spiritual growth.

Teaching positions:

Teachers report to the applicable principal and are responsible for all aspects of teaching and learning within their classroom including classroom management, lesson planning, assessment, and reporting. Teachers also serve as student mentors and usually lead service learning student groups as well as volunteer to lead clubs or coach sports.
Ideal candidates for all positions will be self-motivated, team players, adaptable, and willing to learn with experience working in multicultural, international settings, and fluent in English.
HOPAC follows the Cambridge curriculum and is an ACSI/MSA accredited school.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR TEACHING STAFF:
- Bachelor’s degree in education/teaching or PGDE
- Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferably in a multicultural setting
- Experience with Cambridge International curriculum preferred
- Fluent in English, the medium of instruction

The Information Science & Media Specialist is under the direct supervision and reports to the Secondary School Principal. The person will be in charge of collecting, organizing, and issuing library resources such as books and videos; cataloging materials; and maintaining the atmosphere and library environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR INFORMATION SCIENCE & MEDIA SPECIALIST:
- Experience in and passion for library services
- Minimum Bachelor or Master’s degree in library or related field
- At Least 5 years experience working in a library
- Fluent in English, the medium of instruction
- Committed Christian, actively living for God and pursuing spiritual growth

The Primary School Principal is a member of the school management and leadership team and reports to the school’s Director. The Primary School Principal oversees KG- Grade 5 students and a 10+ member teaching staff. The Primary School Principal acts as the educational leader of the primary school, responsible for its day-to-day operation, and works closely with the Secondary School Principal to deliver on the overall academic program of the school.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL:
- Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, or related field; applicable experience in lieu of education will be considered with a Bachelor degree in education
- Minimum of eight years experience in education with three years experience in educational leadership preferred
- Fluent in English, the medium of instruction
